If I were to leave today,

Would you in sadness, cry?

If I, in my darkest hour reached for you,

Would you recoil in terror?

Or would you hold me by your side?

 If I were to reach out,

 and embrace the night,

Would you insist that I not give up,

But persevere

 and seek the light?

How would I know?

If I were indeed,

free to go,

For
