One Hundred Kamikaze Tears

by J. Allen Wilson — Read all 1,629 poems by J. Allen Wilson

Friday, March 5, 2004

Hidden within an imaginary darkness,

she cried a hundred kamikaze tears,

while silhouettes dressed as haughty laughter,

 summed up her unbridled fears.

Boldly jutting, are the jagged lines of her insanity,

for they lay like broken parallelograms within her troubled mind.

Yet, quietly still, she acquiesced, to the legions of infirmity,

as they assailed her with assaults, from both forward and behind.

thus, leaving us nothing now, but an empty shell of her former self.

Oh what a pity this is to see, as she in her sadness comes forth to pay

For her days are as night as she Stares at the walls of liquid white

And she succumbs to the shadows that have come her way.

but still….and yet again……she…

against this backdrop of crippling white,

 cries a hundred kamikaze tears.

gee interesting Allen, suggest the tie between both herself, and also the one to whom she loved, the cry of them both, really drives in so deep to home base, ty al

All this has power and intensity and I like it but I hope you wont mind one little word of thought, instead of the last word in the second line above, self, I might have put in "MIND," to kinda rhyme a bit better with "behind", but it is your poem and it is as always, a really great one from a great poet & friend, Peace thru the Write, Ed & Rufuz
