I’m a real cool cat
No doubt about that,
The Las Vegas Strip
With me is really a hit,
I’ll play the slots
In hopes of Jackpots,
And a lucky right arm
Might buy me a trout farm.

No trout farm for me
A gambler I’m not meant to be,
Had to make a dash
Before they took all my cash,
Hit the road and crossed Hoover Dam
Guess I’ll visit the Grand Canyan!*

The Grand Canyon is an awesome sight
Ma and Pa decided to go for a flight,
Guess who stayed with a receptionist, grounded,
While they got an eagle’s eye view, unbounded,
Over the rim and down they went
A photographer’s dream, time well spent,
It’s a spectacular flight, really a trick
Papa felt queasy and mama got sick,
Serves them right, next time maybe
They’ll take poor little me, Caruso Baby.

An old man called Banyon
Went into a Canyon
To look for his burro Jose,
He hobbled back home
With six broken bones
And said ‘to hell with Jose.’

Now we’re in the Ozarks
And I’ve just been to Noah’s Ark
Here they call it Paradise
For Exotic animals and suchlike,
Golly, did my eyes pop
When a donkey came to a fullstop,
And nose to nose, stared at me
Through our windscreen, FOR FREE!

Boy, I’m going to tuck in my tail
And stay out of the way
Of those Razorback Hogs,
Must be some kind of Arkansas dog.

The old Memphis Queen
Is a sight to be seen
Paddling up ‘Ole Man River,’
The sound of her whistle
Sure made me bristle
And set my whiskers a quiver,
The wide Mississippi
To them is so pretty
For me, like a bathtub it shimmers,
When a cat goes a cruising
For them it’s amusing
But that ole river breeze gives me shivers.
