THIS WONDER
I love these hushed, misty mornings rising me from warm beds of yesterday with half-closed eyelids –
Filtering hints, translucent, of dreams that linger, briefly, moist as dewdrops –
Then… billow up, wisps of awareness in newborn hues that permeate the whole sky of embracing today –
When they catch and release this wonder, this gratitude in my sigh…
"This Wonder" is a perfect picture of contentment and serenity, giving the reader cause to sigh right along with you. This is gorgeous poetry, meu Amor.
The soul awakes and one feel its yawn, its stretched arms and the eyes of the spirit seaching through the window the top of the head of a malingering sun that don't want to leave his bed.
