Beautiful!!!

Trees have always been special to me; their visible beauty above the surface of the earth and the way they adorn the surroundings with their silent presence, while providing refuge for the creatures who depend on them. Then there is the connection with the parts not visible -their roots which reach deeply down under. "the quietness of trees" gives us pause and allows us to ponder and appreciate them. I love the tranquil feeling of this piece.

The silence is so wonderful...
and then to listen to the wind
"between leaves and the change"
So nice and peaceful!

Have to agree with your Twin, Alexandra... this ACHES with pregnant and fertile PAUSE. The wind and leaves on the trees amplify each other, dance to each other's tune and are totally synergistic. One takes the shape of the other and each unique leaf relates uniquely to the breath of wind that moulds and surrounds it. There is nothing more mystical and re-energising than the building "shhhhhhhuuuuush" of the mellow breeze through the listening leaves. You hear and receive much here... and speak VOLUMES! My heart greets yours with a mutual kiss. Kate xx

This is one of the most gorgeous short-verse poems I've ever read! I can smell the leaves and feel the wind. I can get lost within that timely pause. A lovely waltz of nature and spirit.
