In hands, cupped like gifts to be,
I bring you ductile, liquid imagery;
I bring the fluidity of words meant for your lips,
the transparency of thoughts still tasting of lust,
like life as it surges, pure, from the source;
I bring you the moistness, cool, of dreams, and
drip them, one by one, upon that fever, sizzling
further and deeper than your brow;
I bring you a passionate, unabashed stream
of secrets - slowly dripped, like touches through
slightly parted fingers, then flowing, revealed,
naked, upon your naked skin.
In hands, now open like a body to love,
I bring you, poet, the gift that is:
my thirst; for you to pour, quenched;
yes, as a poem; yes, like love made.
