Gazes...then Glazes

Once upon my time...I looked through a plethora of green eyes, cat's large speckles of yellow...my universe for nine lives. Friends became lovers, Lovers became friends...all the while searching for The One...now only a select few remain...the green dimed, small traces of yellow reflecting my now glazed eyes. Wildest dreams then...once upon my lifetime. I think of you still... sun rising, sun setting...eclipses in red...and what might have been, chosing different stars, the universe so immense, full of black holes. Yet my dimed green eyes, tiny yellow specks, gazes still from my Soul, to remember all I ever wanted was You. How many lives left...to get it right?

Sweet friend, I hear lost chances in this precious poem. You see, I truly know what you are writing about. Its sad but beautiful...Life gives us so much and we get so little. this is awesome
