I fell upon bad times
I fell upon bad times, I did.
I fell out of life’s prime.
All changed for me in moments few.
As though because of crime.
My own left me, and sent me to
A state far from divine.
All my prayers wasted away.
From joy I did resign.
In mystery light turned to dark,
And hope left for despair.
There neither was aught comfort left.
Nor peace could I declare.
I had to leave this damaged state.
I couldn’t hang on here.
Life was inviting me to grab
Laurels not live in fear.
I left behind all that did bind
Me to my earlier life.
I bothered not what pain was frought
In this new step and strife.
First life gave me some jerks, it did.
Then it let me rewind.
I saw what in my future lay
And what I left behind.
Best wishes,
Diana...
