To Lord Krishna
No peace, no joy, no hope, no light.
Life’s walked away; left me behind
to fend for myself, alone. To smash
stones, to drink disappointment;
to nurture regret that I cannot forget.
O my Lord, O Krishna, come and give
me that mantra, that sets the mind on
towards actions that heal, and feelings that dawn.
O my light, my life, my hope, my joy,
give me that strength which will help me move on.
