Remember that first love that time has stolen from you? Yes, I knew you would. Hopefully, though this hasn't happened to you....

So much time has passed since I last saw your face,
Remember love it was in this place.
Now I sit here again waiting for our paths to cross,
hoping, longing, thinking of moments lost.
Nervously tapping my straw from my cool drink,
My restless heart not knowing what to think.
Each hour, each day, has turned into years,
Time not our friend now plays on my fears.
Beads of sweat form on my brow
It is July, love where are you now?
The sun is hot, my glass and I both sweat,
I place a piece of ice on my mouth and neck.
The hours pass, the July sun heats the bricks
I suddenly am feeling quite nauseous and sick.
You are not coming. My head is reeling.
Where can you be? What are you feeling?
I slowly get up and tearfully walk away.
Winter in July will be remembered this day...

HELLO CARYN: I have been by your way several times. I don't think you were home or maybe you just didn't know it was me knocking!!
Sorry but I have been there done that. We can't let our heart be played on like that. Every encounter has a reason. I sometime don't find out what it was until I give up or someone ask me for advice. I can then say, Been there done that and you will make it to.
Thanks for you comments. I hope it was good for you. I just noticed that I had written more the month of October than the rest of the year combined. Maybe that's why I hadn't had time to read, hey?
Or maybe you gave me some INSPIRATION BABY!!!!!!!! It is the time of year that it gets cold outside. Then you can put a log on the fire, get a tall glass of tea and read all about me. HAHAHA Later
