I wrote this for my friend Jason in my Poetry Group who is working on writing his own marriage vows in a few weeks. These are things I wish I had said in my own ceremony, but didn't.
I need to be your first morning hello,
I want to be your last goodnight.
I need to be the air you breathe,
I want to be your life.
I need to see the happiness in your eyes,
I want to be the one that makes it so.
I need to see your smile each day,
I want to be the reason for that smile.
I need for you to reach out to me,
I want to touch your heart.
I need to know that death will never stop our love.
I want to be one forever up above.
I need to know there is no end,
I want to make your dreams come true .
I need to feel you want me,
for I want and need you too.
