It really was " one of those nights "

unlike I had ever seen,

when my heart leaped to my throat

after  I heard that ungodly scream

I met her at a bar , gorgeous babe

later she tied me to a bed,

whispered in a foreign tongue, bit me,

visions of ecstasy danced in my head

She left to put on something nice

moon was shining on the forest floor,

she took too long, I heard that scream,

strange growl beyond the door

It unnerved me to say the least

I struggled madly till I was free,

her bite mark on my chest drew blood,

saw through the keyhole, something scary

Gorgeous's Babe's face was like a wolf's

her body changing there on the floor,

I saw enough, no more bar chicks for me

went out a window, not the back door

My Dodge Ram parked not far away

I figured I could make it there alive,

doors were unlocked, my gun was there

locked and loaded,a Colt.45

I made it to the truck, started up,

locked the doors, then I saw her,

or  " it "-running on all fours very fast

with red eyes and a lot of fur

I roared down the highway very fast

then " Wolfy " was gone-far as I could see,

thought I had outraced her when she jumped

on the driver's side, growling at me

Without warning she hit a mailbox

into liquid pools of endless night,

she went flying backwards into a ditch

she laid still, not a pretty sight

But I'm no fool I drove on

bite mark later cleansed as well,

I knew the family of this " Girl"

never told about the date " O Well"

The girl was committed to some hospital

was a wild date, certainly wasn't pure,

her Dad owned a meat plant, Mom a psychiatrist

they said where she is is " safe" and  " Secure "

It's just as well-no desire to see her

I work the night shift at the plant too,

locals say the forest has strange sounds

" Don't go into the Woods" they'll tell you

Since that night my hearing has improved

sense of smell is sharper too,

on a full moon I have such wild dreams

my Romantic Poetry is better too

Don't go into the woods at night

my final advice to any of you,

the forest has its own Dark secrets

you'll never know who you'll run into

Very creative and entertaining. While I don't prescribe to werewolf fantasies, a lot of young people are fixated on the Twilight series and you will draw a lot of viewers to this unlikely tale garnered from many stories about, “going into the woods––especially at night.”

Very fitting for Halloween and would make a good short story that Stephen King missed.
