WISHES

I think that at some time in our lives most of us have said or thought this
WISHES How many times have we heard that phrase, When someone we love reach’s the end of their days, I wish I had spoken those words that ring true , I LOVE You. Leaving things unsaid is a cause for regret, We leave it to late and unsaid yet, Time rushes by, my how the days flew, And we haven’t said yet I LOVE You We’re a funny lot really, because we are so slow, Frightened to death, to let our emotions show, Never saying the words between me and You, I love You With our busy lives rushing through each busy day, We never have time to take stock and say, Those wonderful words that are forever new, I LOVE You, So just stop and think it may be too late, When someone’s life is cut short by the finger of fate And we’re left with our wishes and for all time we’ll rue. I wish I had said I LOVE You. J W 23/07/03

The words I Love You must be the hardest words in the English language for a husband to say to his wife after they get married. We hear it often before marriage but ver seldom while we are married. What's Up with that. Oh well This is a wonderful poem and I did cry when I read it for it is so true.
