THAT TOWN.

There is a town that’s just down south,
Not so far from the Murray’s mouth
A town that’s known both near and far,
Right on the Flurieu Peninsula.

Famed for scenic Coastal views,
Where whales are often in the news
With the Old Horse drawn tram as a claim to fame
Tourists always are glad they came.

Penguins cute on Granite Island, in little burrows nest,
Views from the Bluff in scenic splendor really are the best,
Foreshore attractions for the young ones, give them many thrills,
And camels delight those who ride them near the small sand hills.

Those whose working days are o’er have come to take their ease,
To retire and live in surroundings pleasant, doing what they please,
To spend the eventide of life, till what must surely come too soon,
I’ve heard it said around the Town,” They’re in God’s Waiting Room “.
