I've got a subaru, she's got a volkswagen;
it's my hope that we both arrive safely in heaven.
I read the gospel, she lives the gospel;
the only way upward is to be steadfastly humble.
We both like popcorn, American Idol too;
so much fun together, through and through.
In the beginning God created us male and female;
wishing all fine couples every bliss with much detail.
On Saturdays she runs the sweeper, dusting now complete;
I do my own thing, a life that just can't be beat.
Loyalty and trust, this we lavish upon each other;
when one of us falls, steadfast love will bolster.
When I leave her apartment she says I got a nice butt;
that's not smut, just a lover's gesture totally uncut.
I always tell her often that I simply love her hair;
there's no doubt about it, we're just a lovely pair.
I've got a subaru, she's got a volkswagen;
it's my hope that we both arrive safely in heaven.
But before that we'll go on that long road trip;
she can fall asleep, she's just my sweet, sweet tulip.
