A COUPLET POEM COMPOSED FOR A SONG LYRIC

I have your picture, I have my dream;

I'll sing this song as I watch the moonbeam.

I'll always commemorate the fine day we met;

reminisce about it when I see the sunset.

Just the memory of you brings tranquility;

I'll sing this song with sentimentality.

You left an indelible mark on this heart of mine;

never ceasing to send shivers down my spine.

The Proverb speaks about a woman like you;

I'll sing this song as it makes its debut.

You surpass them all, virtue upon virtue;

no one could possibly match you hitherto.

My heart is where my treasure is;

I'll sing this song unto the ages.

When I think of your name I rejoice;

my heart doesn't even need a real voice.

I have your picture, I have my dream;

I'll sing this song as a platonic love theme.

No matter where you are, near or far;

you'll always be in my personal memoir.

It is a song, a love theme too, a memoir, as you said. I don't think this should be lost among the ages. Everything fits together perfectly in these verses for a song to be sung.

The song is certainly very personal for her.
