peddle it there
on a Bicycle
That he had shrunken with an uphill labor
And if he had Big Box Gifts send it
Should he use a 'big box' too
To say how big he felt about it
Or should he use
the twenty four hour express
At the Aeroport
To 'express' it better
or use the Best delivery on the corner
To say it 'best'

He only had twenty five cents
An didn't own no bus-i-ness-es
With which he could not only hail a UN peace force and halt a brooding war
With an advertising message
to his girl
Who pass everybody by but him

...Or a share in Wall Street
If he used the florist Wall Flowers
Shop
Under the meeting bridge on the
corner
Who in hell
could
"get the message"
from Willit

if he only had to his name a single
quarter
and no way to "say"
What he wanted more for.....

What Willit did
after a long labourous labor
a shrunken wilted envelope
a big box
was to climb the wall
between their houses
peddle his cycle down the corner
and leave to her his only quarter

It was the thought that counts
and
no one any where
knows what that
is or was

figured it all
and

overtook
tookover

with a couple of words
