A little town

      on the western sea

      was abberant

       and extravagant

        to have a visitors attraction

           an international advertisement

             an no specific accommodations

               or tourist facilities

               of any economic utility

                to increase their bank reserves

                capitol gains

                or per capitol fertility

But a contest

    'Find yourself a way

        on the "Path to Boredom"'

Defined in their brochures

as the least traveled trail

      not only in their little State of Boredom

but

over the high western plains

divided them from the Sea of Verite

   the gate way to

         the developed industrial world

designated from a distance by an intuition

as home of the diligent

  the brilliant

     the hard working

       the wise and the clever

           industrious of nature....

An invitation to visit their area

with an incentive and compensation

to walk the Path of Boredom

    An reveal in an essay

         what they thought in comparison

                 to the rest of the world

A pay your own way affair

     if you didn’t win the contest

(Boredom was one of the more economically disadvantaged places on Earth)

The referred Path of Boredom

      2.8 feet wide and forty miles in length

            actually only wide enough as a one way

                    one direction at a time

      passageway

ending in week

     if one walked back and forth

          where it started

in half a week or quarter week the same

      as it was lined exactly the same on both sides

-with width for only one person-

A veritable fluke of nature

 that all one could accomplish

   was to pass his time walking alone

        to see the same in every direction

though it only went backwards and forwards

in physical contrast to the rest of the world

Of the 69 applications for the contest

   to walk the path of Boredom

25 britains

17 americans

8 italians

5 chinamen

3 hungarians

9 canadians

and 2 poles

     two winners were chosen to have their expenses refunded:

A chinaman wrote

    "it was prolifically symbolic

             of meaning to be away from his wife"

And an italian had scribed

              a notice for the wise

"that no place on earth

was materially any better off

than the land of Boredom"

      "As it possessed not only the same as the richest-

         -a singular multitude of paths-

                but ashes to ashes any which ways

                          you were heading

           that "the middle passed

                 only meant what it meant

                   in the eyes of the beholder"

(the people of boredom were more than flattered with his wisdom)

And so although

the people of

    Boredom

came to reflect with pride on their ingenuity

      to conduct a contest

lend them some stature with the rest of the wise and hardworking nations

      came also to a remorse over the advertisement

        they had made

as they had known from the start

  there was nothing to nourish

     no need for nourishment

        of a path that

         consumed nothing

           was known one way

            was knowable one way

And for which they had obligated themselves

       fund

     for their own profit

         it's  exploration.
