Of the clock and gears of nature...the history of man, his science observations and perspective of the forces shaping his life....

THE SCIENCE OF THE CLOCKERS' HAND

AS only a tradesman I gave myself a name somewhere along the road, an' wrote upon the earth some thoughts of objective reflection -I now call a field of reflection and vision though I am not in possession of a degree in Opthomology I judged necessary for a real honorary success.

WHAT TIME IS IT ?

Who knows, goes
those that doesn't knows
doesn't goes.

Funny thing 'bout the way we talk do we smell with our hands
goes with our noses
walk on fours
count with our toeses
reflect with our eyes
and say, "I'ze a'sea"-

"are there no noses who knowses"
from the watery timed out
rested resting
thoughtless
seemed countless
ticking asleep sleeping
to the awake awakening
to bear a truth?
'less mine own eyes sees to say "aze sees"
and ......

Aye it is, is it?
the tick in my ear
or the clock in gear
I gotten to forgot of
a loud rosier nose than noise
I heard last year
one day
when I made a mark on the wall ,
And today got a pain
where most people dont know
they've a sore in their sides
that moved round
in my reflections
and landed in my ear.

THE SCIENCE OF THE CLOCKERS HAND
PART TWO

A racing runned twice credit
had been reported
debited once
in each
of
the many parted pockets
of the
ruined charge d'affair
from the illicit seduction
by a remote cousin
whose rooted weeping willow tree
outside
on his lawn
did suffer
an earth shaking forclosure.

"Holy roots!"
she ("Sasafras") did retort
as he filed his report.
"I've not a balanced book
or unforclosed check
to convince the bank
of this troubled half pocket
ruined charge
sliding certificate
and threaten for his rank"

As either bastards or angels
should not be seen the same
as they are not the same
from any chosen direction
point of view
saint peter's perspective
satans' recollection
that either my rooted willow
take a walk or
the damned charge d'affair
loose his knowing voice and rank
or cousin Joe
to release his house home wife
job and position
when he's no remote account
connection relation
or attachment
with me or
my weeping willow tree
or the charge d'affair
his mistress
house home or bank

I've come to think
some unfriendly
deficit crediting deficit
had inserted
his singular cheating interest
mistresteriously
somewhere in the dark and shaded places
of the sunned and stately standing
wind blown
weeping willow tree
'lives and grows a century
in my own back yard
And can stand two places at once
knowingly imposing
both of his singular lives
and authority
two places at once

That if his little step
had made his head of big enough sizes to visit any of
the the loving rise
of double the real estate
of the charge d'affairs' mistresses promiscuious prizes...

That I as a rosier than nosier nose had made a mark one year
at this over accomplished
over stretched boasting noise
Witness'd never together
Known as half a slipery sloth
Considered less than whole
And has a new and oscillatory resound
An air blown feathered fluttering
Tied as bilicled twins
Corded together
A'part somewhere
in the different places
and shaded sunned parcels
of the realestate
in my own back yard

that a light and winded fethered thorn
had gone round and round
the weeping willows roots
and settled in my ear.

"So help me god"
And according to my own doctor's wise thinking mistress
who recorded the change
in each of our pockets
on every other witness
to the doctors
good health
and my own
life giving and nurturing
visits

Robin Ouzman Hislop's poetry is certainly in dialogue with some of the key architects of the 'poetics of indeterminacy' – both the Modernist strands represented by the likes of Beckett and Stein, and the postmodernist strands represented, initially,
