am-I-mal
searched for a cow
and found somethin' foul
A lil; bird, coo coo
had run off the zoo
when his turn to sing
they wasn't
looking
watching h'm
and noticed him last
not there
last on their minds
where'd he go
I can here him sing
but can't see him
anywhere at all
nice young tall
looked to me a little shy
where'd he go and sing
he'll be back
come back
the same
as he left
at his turn
And I'll just let
Sir Name his place
Until I hear and
see him
at his place again
maybe not too long
maybe not a whole spring
sure liked to hear him sing
can you hear sir
Sir Names a lots my star
his voice does stir my senses
he's always at his turn
on time and time again
I sure like to hear
h'm sing again
now my star
one, and two, and
and forty fort nights
now
his song hand sings
his song
as I march along
And on his left
as a one and a best
a song
singing songs
of spring
sir sings a lot his name a lot
each spring
and I like to hear him sing a lot
and each note a twist to jar
a jar itself
one a right
and one a left
Sir Names a lot
one
left behind
and one leads a head
where I looked
to see
and saw
just where I
walked...
And I saw
I
had runned away
awalking
the day
Sir Name had take his turn
I hadn't seen
he missed all day
that early day
early spring
I shook myself
gathered to my feet
I dont really like
Sir Name's song a lot
I thought
and sang his song
even as I marched
and danced along
Those passing days a years of spring
This day ain't the same no more
my named choir song
animals
giraffes
tigers lillies
whole worlzoo
aint free I thought
no more
And I walked along
my old aches
and trailing nose
had drifted
that day my heart
had followed
and my feet had wondered
far away with Sir Name's
springs and sames
if he'd ever return
come back
same as one flew in a'left
as in a'right a song
a Sir Name names a lot
and still
a'left his sight
unknown
unseen
I'd give him sure an honored love
first place
untried
and uncontended
own lifelong
place in line
with
his song
and reckless clumbsy
I'd walk along to sing along
just again not to see
an' know again
his
presence
had walked us safely
all along again and again
those ole cold
and trying ways
those ole cold
and trying days..
again and again
as each ole day had passed along
again
its' lives and its deaths
and weathered vained
nose, knows
yesses no's
along
to those who chose to dance along
his always
unrecorded
irreplaceable
walking song
This is chilling, Marvin... I feel a sense of dark hollow loss, like pieces of self are seperate and may suddenly come back to fulfill the whole, maybe not without trepidation on the writer's part. Perhaps I'm wrong, the twists and turns lead to other thoughts also, but in its completeness, it walks the knife between sanity and...what? Eternity? Aloneness in a dark hole bold?
