A poem about Angels those we do not see but feel in our presence
Does anyone on earth ever get the privilege to see
the downy feathers of an angel, floating free
By the parting of the curtains all God's warriors guarantee
no accolades are given, when they come to referee
Signatures of old from a testament and promise
always present to protect they seal it with a kiss
A miracle adrift on scented wings hidden in the mist
all power and all mighty, shard and light a blitzed
Autographs Of Angels painted on Cathedral walls
where the hollow of their Sacred, rests where no one calls.
While I do not believe in the "word for word" texts such as the Bible and Koran etc..., there are truths within them. Sadly, they were written (rewritten) by men intent on "enslaving" others to their desires... and men's "desires" are generally not good. Witness the countless wars and conflicts generated by men for their own enhancement and desire for power and domination many in the name of their "god" whom they have created in their own image. I believe in angels. I believe they have saved me, even from my own self, on much more than a single occasion. You got me thinking, Vienna. Thank you. Love, peace, and blessings to you,

Some artists, like Michelangelo, were paid handsomely for their work. While others, often only worked for food and lodging while creating some of the Church's greatest images of what people think angels look like. I wonder why they often depicted as women? And why their feathers are always birdlike?

Some people may believe and others may scoff at the idea of angels, but reading this poem reminds me how imaginative and wistful the image of angels can be, as you wrote, "a testament and promise, sealed with a kiss." This is one of your finer endeavors, Vienna. Simply exquisite.

The LORD created the angels, and His Divinity is present in the ones that did not follow Lucifer, who tried to become GOD!
