why am I hurting so bad, I though I was over you here I lay crying long into the pitch-dark of night not knowing how to get you out of my loveless soul so why does it hurt so bad, is it the honed tears I shed or is it from wounded pride that makes me so blue do I weep for my wasted fertile years of loving poured on to parched ground and your stone heart you were the one voice i could hear, calling when i could hear no others voices serenade yours were the eyes i could see in the darkness of my soul bright like a nocturnal beast beckoning come to me like a deer caught in a set of head lights I stood allowing you to do all you desired with or to me can you tell me why this hurts so bad, if not then can you tell me what will take this pain away
