Father Sun, Grandfather Moon
I entreat you hear my plea.
As I sit and watch the campfires
of my ancestors where you live.
I've heard thier call to come
and walk the winds of time.
Yet there are words unwritten
images that lie not drawn.
Thus the talents you have granted
are as yet incompletely spent.
No maiden had I found
Til but a moon gone by.
She does not know of our way
has had too hard a journey.
For me to leave before she's seen
how great the love she has inside.
Can be shared with her mate
to be free and be loved.
Grant me but just enough time
to share with her all the love.
That I've stored up during my life
and I will heed their final call.
To walk the winds of time
uncles please hear my plea.
