Resting here upon this wooden giant
spanning the banks of the stream below.
I ponder at the crystal currents
as they eddy and ripple onward.
Flowing round obstacles in its path
ever moving toward an unknown.
Time mirrors this natural sight
on our sojourn from birth through our life.

A huge brilliant cut diamond from the Poet's aesthetical mine to glow as it shows a poetic philosophical jewel... "Lifes Flow" is a shining star on constellation Poetry.

In respect and admiration,

Water is always such a powerful metaphor, made all the more so with these poignant words. Life is indeed, ever moving onwards and one never knows what is around the next bend.

How it flows around obstacles on it's path toward the unknown

Like the play on words here, Budd, as well as on themes and ideas. Rift, Raft... ripples; it's easy to be drawn into your streams of consciousness and follow the flow. Nice sounds. xx

Sitting and reflecting time is a good way to keep things in perspective, Budd. From the last poem to this one, I believe you have done a good job of making yourself understand and deal with what was there in a positive way.
