The Birds and the Doodle

The us that is

2-17-2014

At first there were just the two
that so soon became seven.
Doing just what finches do
while making their own heaven.

Then came along Doodle girl
our little calico cat.
Setting the birds all a whirl
and our dogs to chase at that.

Now they and she have a truce
the birds, Doodle and three canines.
Big bird cage, furs running free
our pack is everything fine.
