What a beautiful poem!
There is nothing better than being together with one that feels as you, apart you are still together...
Smells bring back the awakening of this one, sounds take the mind to create the pictures that turn the time...back to the past.

I remember the feeling too, but then then she startrd snoring, and I had to move to my own bedroom to get any sleep. I miss that closeness.

To be so lucky to feel that touch and held by that protector, how restful that sleep would be and now alone we seem to toss and turn all night, waiting for the light of day.
