Lovers Prayer

I sit here in His pew
listening to the words.
And singing the songs too
thankful for my rewards.

But I sit here alone
with a heart all but blue.
For my love is still gone
and nothing I can do.

So i pray He hears me
and keeps her safe each day.
Yet one more moon to be
before she's home to stay.

Hearts filled with such deep love
athough full, ache apart.
So I pray to God above
to keep her in His heart.
