He had opened a door
where he did not belong.
Known to no one before
and stayed there far too long.
Spoke what he should ignore
it was he who was wrong.

Those there he would honor
for the fine things they say.
But he should close the door
and slowly drift away.
The kindness they showed for
he can never repay.

Thus an adieu is do
as the chapter is closed.
More fine writes they will do
his sham he has disposed.
Knowing they'll continue
with poems and fine prose.

Many of us must stand back and close the door...
I have done it more than once in my lifetime...
But it was a good thing, for once closure comes
happiness can begin...

Yes, very intriguing, even prophetic. And I enjoyed the previously. written reviews. Had me wondering about your observation or perhaps introspection. I could totally relate.

IN OUR HOUSES OF GLASS...THERE ARE SKELETONS IN EVERY CLOSET. OF COURSE, WE SHOULD BE CAREFUL...WHEN LOOKING INTO ANOTHER PERSON'S HOUSE AND THEIR 'CLOSETS'. CLOSING THE DOOR...WE BOW OUT. THANKS, BUDD. LOVE, BLESSINGS AND FATH...JOYCE * HIS INSPIRATIONS

Very enigmatic...and although your meaning and intention not clear, it had me captured...
It stands in it's own right as intriguing....

Leads me to wonder if it's fact or fiction. Either way, it's well-written with an interesting tale.

... sounds like attending a Poetry Workshop where you are, at times, not understood and, at times, all chiming together. It's amazing how bonding such highs and lows can be. I like the mystery attached to this one, Budd. xx

Very, very powerful write. What reaches out the largest for me is the line: "Spoke what he should ignore." There is a vast universe wrapped inside that one line alone. ~~ Diana

...mystery "He"...has a right to think
unthinkable...to express it and act on "His"
thoughts...exploring all options...and "His" own
ideas...Who knows what the unexplored contains
until...it has been ...eeeer...explored all.
Thank you Budd for sharing your great poem.

This one is quite mysterious. Leaving the need to try to figure out who "he" is. Like, for example, could it be you? Or could it be me? Whoever he is, I'm not sure that an "Adieu is due."

Somehow a thread of understanding may be all we can grasp. After all we are all going through so much stuff at such an incredible speed. All I know it's better to learn from mistakes, love and to bury any past hate. Amen

I don't want to make wild guess, because sometimes what we think might not be what it actually to be; so I'm just claiming that I don't know this. To be assuming something we don't know is not a good thing to do. I hope all is well with you.

Sandie
