A picture would have been great, but in the spur of the moment sometimes we forget and sometimes a camera just isn't available.
I look out on my backyard where we have a bird feeder, so I see a lot of activity. Recently I saw about five sparrows beating up on one. That lone sparrow seemed pretty good at taking on all of them. And then last week, I saw a large hawk apparently descend from my roof down over the top of a 7 foot concrete block fence to a parking lot under construction behind my house. I hope that hawk caught one of those cats in the open that have been harassing our birds. ;-)
Blackbirds can be very aggressive if you go near their nest. I have been attacked while riding my bike; I was glad to be wearing a helmet. Thank you for sharing the experience, Budd. Best regards,
