On this drab grey and dour day
i think on such a day before.
When peoples of different ways
came to share their bounty and more.
One had come from so far away
to stake their claims on others shores.
the otherhere had been always
or for as long as the stories bore.
Others had come in years gone by
to distant North and farther south.
Some poorly planned were lost or died
others endured, no cheers, no shouts.
Of these called natives, none deny
they were dealt bad and shoved about.
So today we celebrate, why
because tis thanks we need to shout.
Thanks to those who in our hearts live.
Thanks to those who help others out.
Thanks to the ones who always give.
Thanks for lives we're happy about.
Thanks to a God who does forgive.
Thanks to one we can't live without.
Thanks to a country where we live.
Happy Thanksgiving without doubt.
Wonderful poem of thankful praise.
God bless,

I just added an "a" at the end. OK...
Thanks to those who in our hearts live.
Thanks to those who help others out.
Thanks to the ones who always give.
Thanks for lives we're happy about.
Thanks to a God who does forgive.
Thanks to one we can't live without.
Thanks to a country where we live.
Happy Thanksgiving without a doubt.
Have a wonderful Thanksgiving!

We should be doubly thankful today that our supermarkets are still full of fresh food at everyday low prices in the spring when nothing had grown for six months before when the tradition started, but does now, thanks to modern technology and transportation.
