Heidi was summoned to my memory,
A different child was she,
An example for children of the city,
With her wild spirit in the country,
Amidst Mother Nature and the beauty,
Of granted freedom and greenery,
She showered affection to the elderly,
Without selfish feelings and jealousy,
A different child was she,
Away from the norms of modern society,
Thoughtful and full of joy plenty,
Making her life indeed very happy!
Was one of my favourite stories when I was a little tot, LOL, and I dont have those books to read to my children. Often thought of getting the set again.

I can remember one of my elementary teachers reading us "Heidi" each day for about the last half hour of the day, until she had read the entire book to us...it is one of my most pleasant memories from elementary school. Sometimes I think we all wish the world could find one of those fictional "simpler and more peaceful" times. Excellent write...very much enjoyed.
