You fill me with glorious joy,
though we’re miles apart.
You make the demons in my soul
evaporate into nothingness.
I dip myself in a pool of sadness
and know it’s time to call you.
We know each other because we
are a part of each other.
You show me how to see the
humor in my melancholic nature.
How to stop taking myself so seriously.
You are the wittiest person I know
and just hearing your laughter
takes me back and brings me
forward to a better place.
I picture your face and feel that
the height of my love goes beyond
the galaxies. Touching your
hand is the same as it was years ago.
