... Soooo wish I'd bin there, Janet! I can even remember one such blissful Christmas Day here in the UK when I was given a tiny tranny by Santa, and sat against the outside walls of the house listening to it's crackly sounds whilst soaking up warm sunshine. Mind you, I was only about 7 at the time, so I think the sun always shines at that age, doesn't it?! LOL, health and friendship in 2005! Kate xx
Excellent write to which I relate wholeheartedly...went to the river yesterday and today and took pictures of the shoals and the cranes...all in 68 degree January weather. I am off again tomorrow so I think we will load up the paint and canvas and trek back down to the river for a day of art...70 degrees tomorrow.
Janet, here I sit at 7:02 a.m., the sun is still yawning and stretching trying to awake, on the 2nd day of January, and it's 66 degrees.
I can so relate to these visions.
Happy New Year to ya!
Well with snow all around us and a fire burning in the stove summer days seem far away up here in Nova Scotia but my imagination is set free with this poem. NIce write.
Ah yes! Strange weather up in Virginia too Janet - it was 73 here today.....but I'm not complaining! It was nice to have a breath of Spring in the middle of Winter. Topsy turvy but GRAND. Your poem put it in more lyrical terms, but bottom line is - WHAT A DAY!
Janet such a lovely enjoyable day, thanks for sharing it with us.
I think you have a great start to the new year, may it be your best ever! Love, Eileen
