Bye and Bye

I’m off again to the land of sun
when it isn’t covered by smog.
Although we’ve been there many times,
the big bridge is covered in fog.

But we’re heading out, not to see the sun
or the sights of a great big city.
We’re going to see our new grandson
who is very little bitty.

If he screams a lot, we might take a walk
and leave him with the nanny.
If he laughs and coos and takes a long snooze
I’ll be the perfect granny.

So, goodbye to you all for a while again.
When I return I’ll have back surgery.
But if I can climb the stairs, I’ll check the den
And read about dreams, lovely... and dirty.

.. and I love the nitty gritty of this poem that speaks of adoration and apprehension in equal measure; I adore your "reality" writes! Bless you, Janet... if you can't climb those stairs for a while, give me your number and I'll keep you up to speed with all the Den's dreams... lovely and dirty!! You are sooo honest - it's great! If I had a date for your surgery, I would be right here praying you through it... along with all the rest, of course! :)) May you be very aware of His presence, peace and healing touch in all that sorrounds you in these times. His grace be yours. LOL Kate xx

Janet,

Have fun, and...have fun! O, to get away...I went on a cruise this past February...and I'm ready to go again! :) Spoil that grandson, and see you when you get back. :) Prayers for safe journeys--and for your upcoming surgery (hope it's not serious).

(((HUGS))) and love, Karla. :)

enjoy your visit and I doubt if you will learn to ignore the crys of your grandson and walk away lol as a recent grandfather and built in weekend babysitter with my wife it is believe me almost impossibe to ignore or walk away from their little cries.
Good luck,
Felix
