Alas it was my
Words which made you blue
To the wrong path now
Forsee the near aye
You made the mistake
Of making me cry
I made you cry too

Is that I can't see

Things said in anger or things said without thinking can hurt extremely.
You are so right Jane and the saddest of all is that we hurt the people we love the most.
I terribly regret the times that I did it.

I always say, “don't get angry, get even.” In this case I think it requires simply an apology for inappropriate words spoken in anger. Making up is more fun anyway.
