She loved a man who loved her too Only a sea apart She yearned for him Wish crossed the waves One day they'd make a start So many tries to cross the sea A fury rose each time He waited on That far way shore With dreams of love sublime She cursed the furies holding her Then one day she broke free A wedding dress Was all she packed To travel 'cross the sea Word came that he another found Who lived on his far shore The one who was Ready to 'cross Fell crying to the floor She blamed herself for all the times Furies had held her back Her heart so heavy Full of woe Wondered what did she lack Her heart beats strong for so long now Tears down her cheeks did stain Her heart for e're Will bear his name Forever bare the pain She walks barefoot in clover now A smile huming a song About an Irish Girl in love She'll wait forever long Jane Noponen Perinacci

I know this is about Carol. Hope she'll be well soon and be strong for herself. I personally don't trust any long distance romance at all. Why bother when we can find some who are next to us. What makes the distant one more valuable than the one next to us???? Just wondering.

Gawd! I love this one. If I could play an instrument I'd write a melody for it and we'd have a hit record. There is a moral to this story: Distance does not make the heart grow fonder, when you got one in the bush, forget the one over yonder. ;-)
