Sedate...

Under horror, as I cannot think of anything more horrible than daily exercise, LOL

Sedate…

I have been for so long, sedate,

Sitting at my desk, no date, no slate,

Just typing all my thoughts, with no wait,

So made a decision, have I, to open the gate,

Go out and make the effort, at least,

To walk for 5 minutes to start, lest my next state,

Maybe that of death, not at all a very attractive trait…

Did so this evening, when walking Rufuz,

Walked with a gait very fast for me indeed,

Started to feel my chest get tight,

And my head begin to feel quite light…

Not to worry though, herein,

As I have only started for 5 minutes per day,

Slowly taking everything in,

Just before dark, as the sun is setting,

Carrying my flashlight, my whistle & Rufuz at my side…

Actually, as I sit here, after the walk, I feel a bit better,

This may have to be something for me of a trendsetter,

As I find I enjoyed that walk, may have to do it more,

Every time I walk Rufuz would be good, if home all day,

Several times per day, I would feel better anyway…

This was great Ed, I love walking in the evening and very early in the morning, especially with spring coming!

I've been feeling the same way. I'm overweight and out-of-shape, and I've definitely got Spring fever. I'm ready to get outside and do some walking. It's a great way to shape up and reduce stress, as well as get a nice tan.

You are on the right track, Ed. As it gets warmer, I walk my poochies farther and farther. We all feel better after these long walks. And by the way, brisk walking is as good as running!

Great idea. Must be the feeling of spring. I started exercising a few weeks ago. Got a little worried about all the sitting I have been doing lately.

In the End: Apocalyptic Poetry by Debra Kraft

In the end they'll all be dancin'--all them ones that didn't die.... Dance with me in the shadows amidst the lightning and the thunder, and all that nu-cu-lar debris. See the big bang from the other side, and then open that cellar door. Go down into
