Keep those church steeples, a little bit of yesterday still today...

Power to the Steeple, It holds the cross, or the star of david, It shows both at a greater distance, so lets save it, The steeple is on the list of endangered objects, Building around them they are trying to do, Many new complex projects� Keep the steeple I do say so and remunerate so glowingly, I find it there to be helpful, and keep us happy, I realize this quite knowingly, Keep our steeple; is hard to see it fall, Keep our steeple, is hard to fight the builders, trying to stall� Crosses there, on the steeple so high and so tall, There to allow us to see it and then to recall, Don�t wish to forget, to never see this our steeple again, To be reminded by the tower, of our god, our faith, our favorite pew� � ed � 7/11/04

I just like the design of the older churches :-) My intentions is to paint a few of them before they disappear from our sight.

Ahhhhh... fighting the good fight, Eddie M... don't let 'em touch that beauty. When you are truly inspired, this is what comes of it, remarkably lovely, pointed and flowing verse. Sometimes I marvel at how to read you is truly to walk along your path in life. When looking to the sky, who wouldn't prefer to see a graceful steeple rather than some stupid modern art glass and concrete office building? Sigh... keep it going. As always, your heart is in the right place. Keep an eye on 'em, Ed... katy xox.

Wonderful piece, Ed. About the only thing grand left in my once grand old city neighborhood, is the old church steeple. This beautiful old church was built in the 1800s by immigrants, and it will last a very very long time.
