Prepare yourselves for the possible onslaught of depressed, repressed, humorless writes, as my job told me I have not got one to come back too tonight...

Repressed…

This evening I didn’t want to get high,

Instead I did get depressed,

Worrying about all the problems,

The bills, the food or lack there of,

The rent, the expenses, etc and so forth…

I should have gotten high,

At least I would have gotten my depression repressed,

At least for the time being, I would not have herein digressed,

Maybe I didn’t use a word in the right manner,

But what the hell I am feeling a bit depressed,

Even with my meds, oh what the hell, I am going to get high…

Seems the only way out of this feeling for now,

Will deal with it again tomorrow & hope for an answer,

I really do wish, that a month or so ago I really did have that cancer,

Then I would have reason to be depressed,

Or maybe to go completely insane and start talking like a cat, meow…

Oh no! I've been reading backward so didn't know the source of your down feelings... damned job! Anything on the horizon? Pour it into poetry, keep your head clear, if you can, and would it be possible to beg? any chance they're reconsider? Sigh... now what? I'm here.. katy xox.

Damn. Life sucks sometimes and then you die. (But the roller coaster ride to heaven's a blast!) Ed, baby, you've got one hell of a sense of humor and that makes for one helluva good weapon against the suckiest of crap. Better than all the effin' drugs on the planet, Ed. Suck it in and suck it up! Look around and see what you can make happen for you. I mean it. Came from Sin City through hell with a crazy man to Jersey. He's gone. My kidneys are shot, and I'm still standing, and so will you. Look up, do pray, be strong, kick ass!

Ed, my friend, try to think positive. That will do more than anything to help. I used to suffer from depression, but now I am able to literally "think myself out of it". Keep trying to write your humor--that's why a lot of writers write humor, in an attempt to pull themselves out of the black fog. My poem "Fish" was written when I was extremely depressed. Email me if ya need to talk--I'll have the Internet and my email account until at least Monday, although my computer may be off quite a bit.

Ed, so very sorry. Many share your burden. Allow yourself the feelings. Heck, talk like a cat if it really helps. Most of all, stay in touch here and write whatever you want. We'll read it, and I'm pretty certain the words will not be wasted. Dawn

Ed...I am so sorry to hear about this. I do not know what type work that you do, but down here in the South, we still have a lot of adds for jobs. Kinda cold up that way in the winter anyways aint it? I really wish this on no one, for to be without a job these days makes for a rough go of it all. I do hope that you can find something quick or perhaps this was meant to be in some sort of way in order to make something even better available for you...take care my friend, and as always...peace to you and rufz
