I Don’t Give a Flying F**k or Turning Fifty…

Cannot change the oil on my jeep, oy vey,

The stinkin’ skid plate in the way,

Cannot either get my motorhome to run,

Today has not been very much fun…!

Seems all this has happened since I did turn fifty,

I was really happy that day feeling kinda nifty,

But if it means I lose herein all of my abilities,

To fix the simplest things myself, trying to be thrifty,

Then screw it all, as I am seem to be losing my facilities,

Today I feel like applying from the state, telling them I have disabilities…

Will eventually get the damn skid plate off the jeep,

Then I can go back to changing my oil really cheap,

Hell I rarely, if ever, go off road needing the undercarriage protection,

Better to have it off anyway, prior to going through state inspection,

Feeling down a bit right now, wish I had some chocolate,

Yes something with sugar in it, some tasty treat or sugary confection…

Your only as old as you let yourself be. I see a young man in your words - keep him in your actions as well. When you hit 80, THEN you can start slowing down.

rant on, ed! sorry you are having one of those days; cheer up! things will get better!

(((HUGS))) and much love, your friend in tx., karen lynn. :(

look at it this way...be glad you are alive; it's better than being buried six feet underground, holding the flowers up! (i guess nearly dying at birth and not expecting to survive has given me this attitude; i am very grateful for each and every day that i live and breathe!)

Nothing like a poem to get the pain of lowered performance out. Looks like you aren't going to grow old gracefully.

Snap Out of it, You Young Whipper-Snapper. One of the best days of my life was the day I turned 50. Jumped into a muddy, bug-infested office crawl space - with my business suit on - and went exploring. Marvelous. And every day since then has gotten better and better.

Go outside again, and roll around in the mud, then get that oil changed (I knew you should have gotten an Explorer!)
