DreamEscape…

Awake did I from slumber,

So deep was my sleep,

My dreams I recall not,

Were they somehow of being unencumbered…?

A home built on an island in the keys,

Must sail to it now,

Keeping the wind in the lee’s…

An Island of palms, coconuts & fronds,

Closest human ten miles distant,

Bought with my winnings & municipal bonds,

Self-contained, powered by the wind & sun,

Water from an underground stream, doesn’t it sound fun?

Silence,

No blaring music from passing cars,

No screaming brats to mar,

The beauty and solitude,

Of this my private retreat,

My place of respite, no trick or treat…

Living done, keeping the wolves at bay,

If a world war was waged,

I would not know, no way,

Could not escape the fall out,

Eventual sickness, then death,

Would learn to kill again,

Taking away another’s breath…

Send the noisy Gulls my way okay..lol!!

Okay now you tell me what the concept of "beastiality" is...can't find it in my dictionary..the closest I get is "beastly" {brutal person}...just curious...no cheaky backchats..lol!!

And hey that Island...???

Sounds like heavenly peace to me!!

In the End: Apocalyptic Poetry by Debra Kraft

In the end they'll all be dancin'--all them ones that didn't die.... Dance with me in the shadows amidst the lightning and the thunder, and all that nu-cu-lar debris. See the big bang from the other side, and then open that cellar door. Go down into
