Sleep…

Not enough,

Too much,

Which is best?

Seems as the week does progress,

I get less and less…

Lacking sleep,

I feel I did cheat,

Can’t make it through the day,

Without many cups the Juan Valdez way…

Too much,

I seem to speed and such,

Caffeine a definitive crutch,

No matter how much I get,

More I do want till I feel all set…

I don't drink coffee, so I'll take sleep. I just haven't been getting as much as I want. Getting up at 4am to be at work by 5 and getting off at 2pm and not being able to fall asleep until after 10 or 11 is wearing me out.

Great poem on caffine. This addict won freedom because of Hurricane Charley last year and no power for 10 days. I broke a life time of caffine abuse. I just never went back after the power came on. Do I miss it? Strangely-no. Its just gone. Henry

i'm having a cuppa as I read this and i don't think it hurts anything, just my humble opinion, unless of course you way overdo it. that's why the great adage "all things in moderation" is the way to go...i just heard of a study that says we need at least 10 hours of sleep for best health...go figure, i get 5 or 6 at most...even though i'm retired...hahaha...hi rufuz how much do you get;- hehehe

Less is better then more when it comes to sleep. The body becomes sluggish when it is recieving too much rest. This sluggish feeling also can bring on depressions. I learnt recently that V8 juice is a good replacement for coffee. It gives you the get up and go......but not the can't sleep after affects. I'm giving up coffee soon.

Juan Valdez truly helps many of us - make it through the day. I think there should be a national holiday to him - where we can all sit home all day - and drink java.
