A horrible day ensued...

HEX…

He went thru his day without his usual wit,

He must have left it at home when he took a sh**,

In a fog of constant disdain,

He found himself, never did he though complain…

Even the sun could not his mood brighten,

He just rambled on with the mundane boringness of daily life,

Caffeine did little to his awareness heighten,

Driving that day, possibly the last of his life,

Was out of complete reflex,

Felt, did he, that he was under some kind of hex…

As the day did go on,

Like all days do and so on,

His dark thoughts did to a degree lighten,

He made it through another day,

Though the bonds around his neck did further tighten…

3rd person, eh, Eddie M? Lots of detail, a bit story-telling in its delivery.

Caffeine did little to his awareness heighten,

Driving that day, possibly the last of his life,

These lines have a dark, poetic sting. Well-written. I just don't want this to be about you. Sigh... katy xox

This may be the best final line you've ever written.

Had a day like that two days ago.........as the day was ending I roared with laughter.......I was amused at how many things could go wrong in one day.......Decided why scream when I can laugh? :-)

Sadly, a very common malady today!
