Can’t stand too long,

Even sitting is tough,

Walking occasionally with a walker,

Not even anymore much of a talker…

But home alone, Rufuz with Uncle Scott,

My memory also seems shot,

And the pain in my rib cage is subsiding,

Gave up till whenever smoking pot…

I’m still with ya’ll more so though in spirit,

Please all of you stay well,

Watch that sugar intake & you’ll remain swell,

I gotta find somehow to pay for physical therapy,

Cause sitting at home is getting me nowhere…

I see a much improved glimmer in the writing of the Ed we all know. Try a little more each day. Sorry about the rib cage and those creative implications. Glad to see you posting. Patrick

Give that walker a workout and you'll feel and sleep better every day. Push yourself and each day it will get easier. Get out and breath the air, feel the sun and tune in on the small wonders right in your neighborhood.

One day at a time my friend, that's the only way to do it
When I broke my back, it was a long road to recovery but you do get there
Don't give up, I used to just walk back and forth in the house
Soon you can go a little farther then a little more, believe me you can do it

Hurry back, I'm trying to keep the old fart Georg entertained
But I guess I'm not doing the job you can do, SO get up and get moving!!
You are missed by all
Have a good day

Good to see you now and again...when you get online. Gooder to know you are getting better. Phystherapy you can do for yourself: eat what's healthy (sugar is hidden in all fast-foods!) and walk every morn and evening. As your Bros say, walking is what you have to do,now...so what's a little pain :o) You're SOOO right, "...sitting at home is getting me nowhere..." Get out and about, friend Ed!!

JOISEY - an old joke came to mind - here is short version -

a guy saw ad to lose weight, went to house & paid $20. went to room & waited.
beautiful NAKED blonde opens door - SIGn says - 'If you can CATCH me you can SCREW me!

He chases her, catches her & LOSES 10 POUNDS.

Second day - same thing, only he pays $50 - for beutiful Redhead & Loses 20 pounds.

Third day after paying $100 - door opens - BIG GORILLA's sign says -

"If I catch YOU I will SCREW you!"

Well, in our family never had no ninnies but strong naughty boys, just look at PeeWee (straighten like a rail by that Mean Tall Woman) and our fighting Sis Tiger Lily taking the GOP from its jingles because Cal farmers have no more water and yer Ole Brother in Sweden sending you hugs and Ma, don't forget Ma, the one that massaged your tummy when you eat yours and our candy!!! (I never rat on you)
Now, walk the walk and be well, its is getting boring to only pick on Tom Hyland, the Buzzard and Fee.

EDvard, yer Ole Bro

Dear Ed,

You will make it! Hey, it's been reported that "MaryJane" actually helps to reduce pain. Walking is the best physical therapy you can get so do as much as you can tolerate every day.

Be Well my friend,

(((HUGS))) love and continued prayer, Ed - take care of YOU. We miss you 'round here!! Is there a social worker at the hospital who can get you in contact with people who can help? Like an indigent program? Hey, better than nothing. If they can take care of illegals, they can take care of YOU. Worth a try!! Love you, guy.

Karla.
