Sometimes the ocean does splash over a dune,

And the bay does back up through the sewers,

Happens rarely, though, only in winter months,

Though sometimes it even happens in June…

Cars become flooded & lost to insurance,

It happens so little that vacationing there is still fine,

I doubt it would happen when you are there,

I can only give you my personal assurance…

But it’s a wild sight,

To see the water in the street,

Even at high tide there might be waves,

Thankfully on the island there is no cemetery,

As they would also flood, luckily no graves…
