Poem Artwork

Into the white out he drove,

Confident in his 4x4’s ability,

Full tank of fuel, plenty of heat,

He thought this trip was gonna be kind of neat…

The snow got deeper,

In his memory, he thought this storm a keeper,

Little did he know that just over his shoulder,

Was another following him, it was the grim reaper…

Drove he did for a hundred or so miles,

Okay, so he may have lost some of his smiles,

But his car still ran with perfection,

He crossed a place with a camera in the intersection,

That’s the last he was seen, nor was his car found,

Maybe from this earth he lost his connection…?

The humor is gone from this one, Ed. I like your humorous writings better.

Stupidity comes in all forms. Like, "I shouldn't worry, it's just a little water across the road, I won't be swept away."
Ok I'll go ahead, then I'll wonder why I'm dead.

In the End: Apocalyptic Poetry by Debra Kraft

In the end they'll all be dancin'--all them ones that didn't die.... Dance with me in the shadows amidst the lightning and the thunder, and all that nu-cu-lar debris. See the big bang from the other side, and then open that cellar door. Go down into
