The LAST in this short series...hope I didn't bore ya...

Finding it hard to trust

As well hard to subsist

Hard to express love

His childhood he does still miss…

He laughs it off, so well he does so

It took him longer than others to grow

His pain he just inside does hide

Till death, his life he does of time abide…

Will he ever, even in death, find peace

His pain for now lies dormant

At times still it does increase

Never does it ever, unfortunately, decrease…

I hope this is just poetic empathy, and not personal.

Very sad journey, Ed! Unfortunately far too many adults have these kind of memories of their childhood...the thing is to break the cycle and let it end with the pain of the past....My heart goes out to you...and I pray for a brighter future for you...and all children who have suffered this way...

Anna
