Two fighters...

Two fighters, A-10’s,

Swoop at tree level,

Over the campground,

Shaking every trailer,

They are Air Force guys,

Not sailors…

Training they are, but very noisy,

Scare the hell out of some,

They fly like that all over Joisey,

I enjoy seeing them, like to buy them a coke & rum…

Must be the day for fliers,

Over the campground again they come,

This time a propeller powered plane,

If I wasn’t used to it, I might go insane…

We have some stationed near Springfield and they love to fly up the James river "practicing" bridge strikes just off our back porch. NOISY!!!

You should have served on a carrier. I like the part of you offering the pilot a Rum and Coke.
GOD BLESS YOU

I remember watching the Blue Angels performing at Fort Washington, Pennsylvania (their base) from a shopping center near their takeoff and landing runway. They would come up over the Walmart like building at rooftop level and you felt that you could reach up and touch them from the parking lot. And then they would kick in their afterburners and you could feel the heat from the blast.

One night I woke up hearing a sound high overhead that reminded me of a war somewhere. After talking about it to a colleague at work, I learned later that they were B-52's deployed to Iraq from Fort Hood to start Desert Storm. Just think if they were the enemy flying overhead. it would scare the jebbies out of me.

They do the same in our neck of the woods. Really noisy, especially when they hit those after-burners. And the big helicopters, a half dozen or more, flying in formation, have a frequency that (I swear) would be a cure for constipation. Congrats Eddy on 5000 titles. Peace poet ... richard

They are Air Force guys

And they are the best; your beloved Brother Pee Wee was in the Air Force.

And since you like fliers so much, I'm sending one of my fabulous pigeon squadrons your way today. Go stand outside, and look up as they fly over on a little practice bombing run!

War game, etc., I would imagine if there are that many during the day.
