Whenever I have had computer issues lately, I "google" the problem and, in most cases, others have had the problem and offer a solution. I have recently had a couple of programs (which I did not install) install themselve unbeknownst to me. They would not uninstall as they should have using the normal procedure. oh my friend, just take a magnet to it. that;s what i do when my memory won't erase an old program.

Go to Control Panel
click on Programs and Features
Find program and click Uninstall
If that doesn't work do a Google Search:
"How do I uninstall (xyz) program?"
Jim Beam is my last resort...

I can relate! I worked on mine for nearly two days straight and finally got THE MACHINE to work correctly again.

I have Time Machine on my Mac. If something like this happens, like Sandie says, I can go back to before the incident, and restore my system to the way it was. Have done this several times. She may be correct and you may be able to do that with a new Windows machine.

If not, I suggest you call Microsoft direct with your problem. They are much more user-friendly these days and I've found them more than eager to help. They have to go in and remove specific files that are hidden within your system. I would suggest that you let them "take over" your computer and solve the problem rather than having them send instructions on how to solve it. I've done this many times and have solved serious problems is way. Microsoft is as interested as you are in getting rid of malware.

Oh my!!!! You've probably clicked one of those spyware, or malware!! Those things will attack your computer left and right. I'm not sure of what programs you are using, but if you could go click on your start button, and do a search for "system restore", and restore your computer back to about the day before you have clicked on those things when your computer was working fine, and those things would disappear. Think back to the date that your computer was working fine without those pop ups, and use that date to restore your computer.
