Bursting at the seams...

My muse did return,
From whence I know not,
From where as well,
I'm happy not to be,
Anymore taciturn.

Poem Artwork

I cannot control my muse,
I cannot stop the write,
I got so many ideas,
My muse did sneak back,
And on my ass did bite…

I asked it where it went,
It told me it was away from me sent,
I was getting all depressing,
Melodramatic was becoming my every thought,
But now that my muse returned,
I find myself becoming again myself,
I guess I am in some way retrogressing…

Whatever it is, the feeling is wonderful,
I have found it so hard to write of late,
But now I have my muse as my rider,
And I am stressing to fly out of the gate,
Welcome home I say to my muse,
Please don’t again go away,
Please forever and a day with me stay.

Sure glad you got a new boost of writers' productivity.

Seeing that old photo of a risqué swimsuit, reminded me of my time working at GTE LenKurt in 1967-69. I'm sure you recall that it was the time of the miniskirt. Supervisors out in the shop were chasing after our very large contingent of women solderers, measuring the distance between their knees and the hem of their skirt and sending some girls home because they said that hot solder could fall on their bare legs.

My theory is that that solder would burn right through skirt or pants anyway and it was only the hot views of underwear or not that gave management such a fit because of how it affected productivity.

Man I love those bad old days!

I feel like my best friend left town when my muse goes "bye bye". Thank goodness my "best friend" isn't gone for long when it goes. 'Enjoyed!!

Love ya!

When my muse goes missing,
i'm at a loss for words.
if I try writing without it,
all I get are turds.

The muse can be a fickle creature...
But I'm very glad yours has returned
And taken you out if your misery...

The muse has a way of coming and going; glorious when she visits, horrible when left alone. Keep at it, Ed. It's worth every line. John

Welcome back! My muse is also a fickle creature. I do believe she deserts me from time to time just to make sure I appreciate her as she deserves when she returns.

Sure did miss you and I'm glad your muse returned and inspired you to write again.

The muse and her gift of writing to us is great therapy. I do not agree with Jerry. The muse is very much an important presence; without her, I do not write. It is like being in an arid, wordless desert. Glad you are back, friend. Love and peace,

Régis

Hah! I have found out the the muse we are all supposed to have is highly over rated. But I'm glad you have yours back and can romp and stomp.
